December 16, 2013 - December 17, 2013
Institute for Essential Services Reform (IESR) has been taking the initiative to promote good governance in the extractive industries at the regional level. One of the key goals expected from this advocacy work is to produce a framework that can be used as a guideline for the ASEAN member states in managing their resources.
The process of writing such framework itself has been started so many years ago, with various groups have been engaged in the writing process. Therefore, we realize how important it is to carry out this work further more by continuing the process.
To develop more constructive dialogue, IESR would like to invite you to attend and participate in Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue: “Developing a Regional Framework for Better Governance in Extractive Industries” that will be held on:
Date : Monday-Tuesday, 16-17 December 2013
Venue : Sari Pan Pacific Hotel, Jl. MH. Thamrin No. 6, Jakarta
Time : 08.30 – 12.30 WIB (lunch)
The meeting will be conducted in two days. During the first days, various CSO groups and academic communities will engage in dialog to discuss the content of the framework. The outcome of the first day workshop will be delivered in the Multi-stakeholder dialogue (17 December 2013). We believe your participation on this forum by sharing your knowledge and experiences will be very valuable for the process of development on ASEAN Extractive Industries Framework.
IESR is providing for the meeting venue and meals during the two-days meeting. However, all participants are expected to make their arrangements and pay for their respective air tickets and accomodations.
